The Curtis Institute of Music is one of the nation’s premier music education programs, training young performers not just to master their instruments, but to become active members of their communities. As Curtis unveiled a new strategic direction, they realized their website could do more to tell their story. Namely, they needed an airtight user experience that would not only reinforce their storied brand, but help users quickly find the information they need.

Using Curtis’ rich analytical data, we presented a report on user behavior, noting the most sought-after information on their site. Then, working directly with the Curtis team, we developed a “3-click” strategy that allowed users to arrive at their desired content in three clicks or less. We also gave their mobile site design an overhaul, prioritizing speedy navigation and storytelling.
