01 — Research and Discovery
The first step in any creative endeavor is understanding. Together, we explore our clients’ culture, community, needs and ambitions.
Through comprehensive research of our clients and their peers, we develop a detailed understanding of their communication objectives. Together we map out the goals of the website and identify actionable opportunities.
02 — Information Architecture
Once we understand what we need to say, it is time to figure out how to say it.
A good IA helps people to understand their surroundings and find what they’re looking for. In this stage of our process we take the information we discovered in step one and create an organized structure of the content. By discovering the goals we can prioritize information, making it easy for the audience to navigate the content.
03 — Wireframes
An essential component in the design process, wireframes are used to illustrate the clearest path a user can follow to complete their goals.
Once we define the information hierarchy we plan the site layout according to how we intend to have the user process the information or complete a task. The wireframes create the structure—the backbone—of the entire project layout, making it easier to later build individual parts.
04 — Design
We are passionate about great design and rely on principles of modern design to ensure the details are carefully considered and the design is purposefully executed.
Full-color mockups of the website will be created based on the site wireframes. We will test typography, colors, and imagery to build the design aspect of your brand and create an appropriate voice for your brand.
05 — Development
This is where the project comes to life. We use the best technology to create amazing experiences.
Designs will be developed into a functioning website, flexible and responsive to support different devices and screen sizes, that is ADA compliant. We integrate the site with a customized content management system (CMS) to fit your needs of the website, ensuring that future updates are straight-forward and intuitive. Once development is complete, we will provide training to your team so that you understand all the bell and whistles.
06 — Test & Launch
We deploy the site to a production server and share it with the world.
At the completion of our development phase, functional testing and cross-browser testing will be conducted internally to assure the quality of the final product. Acceptance testing will be conducted before deployment.
